Let’s have an animated conversation. Or, at least, let’s talk about animation.
There are nearly 70,000 special effects artists and animators. Many people think these people are employed at Pixar and Dreamworks. But a lot of these artists work for small companies that do advertising.
Animation has always done well in marketing. Animated characters like the Pillsbury Doughboy have become icons in pop culture. But marketing trends are more than goofy characters.
There are a lot of ways you can use animation in marketing. Here are three.
1. Use GIFs
The Graphics Interchange Format (GIF) is the most popular use of animation on the internet. Animators can produce a GIF in just a few minutes, making it perfect if you need to add some quick content.
GIFs are versatile. You can include them in blog posts, emails, and personal messages. Try to use them as much as possible.
One good idea is to animate your company logo. Create a GIF that shows your logo moving and post it on social media. This will help with brand recognition, showing your company imagery in a unique way.
You can also edit popular GIFs with references to your business. This connects your business to trends and memes.
But be careful. Select a GIF that allows viewers to see your brand as professional and reliable. Don’t post one just to jump on a bandwagon.
2. Create Explanations
Your animation should be short, no longer than one minute. But you can create a 30-second explainer of a service or feature in your industry. Creating an informative animation makes you seem knowledgeable about your industry, encouraging customers to buy from you.
If you are in the healthcare sector, produce a medical animation. Show how a problem manifests itself within the body. Then show how your service works to resolve that problem.
3. Update Your Website
You can use animations in many ways on your website. You can include a GIF of your company logo on your homepage. This draws the reader’s eye and reminds them of who your company is.
You can include animated widgets in your navigation bar. These allow the user to navigate from section to section.
Animate the backgrounds of your pages. But don’t make a background that is too distracting. Show the locations you operate in or depict people using your service.
Incorporate animation into whole page motion. As the user scrolls down the page, have text and images move. This makes navigation easier while standing out from your competition.
Use Animation in Marketing
Animation is one of the best current marketing trends. Animation in marketing is versatile, and you can use it in a number of ways.
Create GIFs that you can include in company emails and social media posts. Animate your company logo and edit a popular GIF. Produce a little animation showing a service you provide.
Update your website with several animations. You can also animate your navigation bar and include moving backgrounds. If you can, animate your text and images so they move as a person uses the page.
