Yet another high-profile conservative has confirmed that he will be addressing the crowd at Ralph Reed’s annual Faith and Freedom conference. This time it is an even bigger get: Donald Trump.

Trump has confirmed that he will be attending the culturally conservative conference hosted by former Christian Coalition director Ralph Reed.

The possible presidential hopeful, real estate tycoon and reality television star has recently stated that he is “pro-life,” while stumping at tea party events. However, Trump was at one time in favor of abortion rights.

The Faith and Freedom conference typically invites members of the religious right. Confirmed to speak at the conference scheduled for June of this year are Michele Bachmann, Rand Paul and, most recently, Herman Cain.

Army Corps announcement could bode well for endangered Everglades species

The Army Corps of Engineers on Wednesday approved a South Florida Water Management District request for authorization to use temporary forward pumps to pull water from Lake Okeechobee lower than gravity-flow will allow, and now, the Corps has agreed to reduce that permit extension to one year only, in part to allow for a thorough analysis of the impacts of the pumps on the endangered Everglades snail kite. The announcement is an important one for the environmental group Audubon of Florida, which has long fought for the snail kite habitat.
