After pulling Heroic ad, MTV accused of being ‘pro-abortion’

Shortly after pulling an ad produced by controversial anti-abortion rights group Heroic Media, MTV is now being accused of supporting a pro-abortion agenda. Supporters of the ad argue that the network glamorizes teen pregnancy with hit shows like 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom. But critics, including MTV execs, say that Heroic's antics do little more than stir up controversy.

New hurdles for Florida water pollution limits

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the EPA have been at odds over the cost of implementing  a set of water pollution criteria for several months. The agencies have also differed on their views of how exactly to go about creating the criteria — with the EPA favoring nutrient pollution be measured in concentrations, while the state department favors measurements in loads. Now, the Florida department — with Gov. Rick Scott's support — is attempting to eliminate the EPA's involvement in creating the criteria altogether.

Operation Rescue wants information on every abortion provider

Troy Newman, president of the radical anti-abortion rights group Operation Rescue has announced that the group will be conducting a massive research project to identify every abortionist in the country. Newman says he needs fellow anti-abortion advocates to contribute any information they can about abortion providers where they live.
