1. Future Coalition

Since 2018, Future Coalition has been fighting to revert the damage caused by climate change. Katie Eder, the 20-year old executive director, wants to make sure young people take climate change seriously.

The mission of Future Coalition is to provide young environmentalists with the resources to fight climate change. Future Coalition has also been acknowledged by the United Nations.

2. Sunrise Movement

The Sunrise Movement has been fighting the effects of climate change since April of 2017. One of the main focuses of the Sunrise Movement is to fight climate change, create jobs, and create youth-led movements.

3. The Foundation for Climate Restoration

The Foundation for Climate Restoration (F4CR) has made it their mission to restore the environment by 2050. F4CR has done work with the United Nations Office for Partnerships and Earth Day Network.

This organization plans to start initiatives to bring these issues to the public eye, persuade policy-makers, work with businesses to reverse the effects of global warming.

Thanks to their many efforts, F4CR has figured out a way for certain solutions and technologies to remove 1 trillion tons of excess carbon dioxide.

4. 5 Gyres

While on a sailing expedition to research pollution in the North Pacific Gyre, the couple who founded 5 Gyres met. Thanks to the efforts of 5 Gyres, they have been empowering people on the effects of plastic pollution by educating and taking action.

Aside from all of the work they do, they also belong to the Break Free Plastic Movement and the United Nations Economic and Social Council.

5 Gyres make it easy for anyone who wants to get involved in becoming an ambassador.

5. Climate Leadership Council

The Climate Leadership Council is another organization based out of Washington, DC, dedicated to fighting climate change.

Climate Leadership Council works in the following areas to make a difference: energy, policy, climate change, environment and sustainability, and research and social science. Their purpose is to bring awareness to businesses and leaders.

6. Extinction Rebellion

Since 2018, Extinction Rebellion, a UK based nonprofit, has been working to avoid climate change and the loss of biodiversity.

Extinction Rebellion organizes nonviolent protests to create awareness so governments can take action. This organization has recently even opened a chapter in the United States to keep bringing awareness.
