1. Reduce Blue Light Exposure

Blue light at night makes your brain think that it is still daytime. Which reduces the production of melatonin. Melatonin helps you to relax so that you can fall asleep.
If you must use these devices then invest in blue shade screens for them or wear blue shade protective glasses at night. You can also download apps that provide a blue shade light for screens.
2. Stay Away from Caffeine Late in the Day
Caffeine is great for when you need to stay awake and focused. However, it is not so wonderful for your sleep if it is consumed too late in the day.
Caffeine consumption late in the day will impact your nervous system and prevent your body from naturally relaxing at night. If you want to drink beverages such as coffee late in the day, then stick with the decaffeinated versions.
3. Is Your Bedroom Inviting?
The environment in your bedroom at night is one of the key factors that influence whether or not you get a good night’s sleep. If you have a mattress that is older than ten years then it is time to throw it away. It may be hindering your sleep.
Minimize the number of artificial lights in your room at night, turn the face of your alarm clock away from your bed and reduce harsh lighting that may be coming through the windows.
Find the right temperature for your bedroom during the summer and winter. That means you need to find the perfect temperatures for your air conditioner and your heater respectively.
4. Take Supplements
Melatonin supplements are great for reducing restlessness at night. Most sleeping pills have melatonin as an ingredient.
In addition, you can try magnesium supplements. Magnesium is responsible for several of the body’s reactions and it has been shown to enhance sleep quality.

5. Keep a Sleep Schedule to Get a Good Night’s Rest
The human body likes sleep routines, as much as possible try to go to bed at a certain time every night. You should also try to wake up at a specific time as well, this will improve sleep quality.
Stick to the same schedule on weekends if possible even though it may be tempting to go to bed later and wake up even later than usual.
