Face moisturizer has become my new best friend. As I’ve talked about before, the older I get, the more I realize how important it is to keep my face hydrated. If I could go back and give my 20-year-old self just one piece of beauty advice, it would be to moisturize, moisturize, moisturize.
I’m always hesitant about trying new skincare products, but I’ve become pretty familiar with Made From Earth since trying out quite a few of their products awhile back. I prefer to use skincare that is natural or organic because I want to limit the amount of toxins that go into my body. I’m a firm believer that many of the skincare products that people have been using has contributed to the rise in skin cancer.
Made From Earth’s Plant Stem Cell Therapy is made up of botanical hyaluronic acid and organic plant stem cells that are harvested from the Globularia Cordifolia Flower and the Undaria Pinnatifida sea vegetable.
As for Undaria Pinnatifida, it is also known as phytessence wakame, which contains immune-stimulating, cancer preventing, anti-inflammatory, and anti-allergic properties.
The Plant Stem Cell Therapy is offered in 2 oz., which can probably last at least 3 months or so. I’ve been using it just about every day in the morning and at night for over a month now, and still have about 2/3 of the jar left. If you’re going to spend $54.99 on a product, you probably want it to last awhile, right?
The texture of the moisturizer is very creamy and thick, so a little goes a long way. I tend to apply a little too much, so my face ends up feeling a bit greasy. That’s OK with me because it’s better than waking up in the morning looking like a snake shedding it’s skin.
I really like the scent of this product. It may sound weird, but for some reason I’m reminded of butterscotch and oatmeal whenever I put it on!
Have you tried this product or other beauty products that use plant stem cells? What are your thoughts on this relatively new anti-aging ingredient/technology?
