Are you one of the 27% of people who puts up their Holiday decorations before Thanksgiving? If so, you’re likely already planning your festive setup, right?
Why not change it up this year with something new? Unique Christmas trees can elevate your holidays.
We’re here with a few fun Christmas tree ideas that you should consider in 2022. Read on to learn more.
An Outdoor Christmas Tree Scene
This idea isn’t super unique, but it is something that we love to see when we’re driving through the neighborhood during the holiday season.
Christmas decorations are common, but a real Christmas tree outside is less so. Decorate it just as you would your indoor one and consider setting out fake decorative presents as well.
If you’re lucky, you already have a pine tree in the yard that would be perfect for this.
Complete the look with a life-sized Santa and Mrs Claus to give your yard the holiday spirit.
Upside-Down Christmas Tree
Do you have a cat that loves getting into the Christmas tree? We’ve been there. To avoid this problem, hang your Christmas tree upside-down!
You’re going to want to use a smaller tree for this because you don’t want it to be too heavy. Secure it to the ceiling and decorate it as you normally would. For an extra silly effect, put a tree skirt on the ceiling and even a few empty gift boxes.
This is tricky, but it looks great and it’s a lot of fun!
Christmas Tree Village
This is a more traditional Christmas décor idea, but it makes an impact.
Set up your tree as you normally would and then set up a small fence around it. Inside the fence, you’re going to want to put a layer of quilt stuffing to represent snow.
Place tiny “holiday village” buildings and decorations in that fenced-in area until you create a true Christmas village. This makes it look like the Christmas tree is giant and it creates a festive effect.
Wall Christmas Tree
So many holiday tree ideas are out of reach for people in small apartments who don’t have room for an actual tree! If this sounds familiar, no problem. A wall Christmas tree is a great way to get the holiday spirit in your home without taking up too much space or spending too much money.
You can do this with pine garland or even tinsel if you prefer an even more nontraditional look. Pre-lit pine garland looks great.
Start where you want the top of your tree to be and pin the end of the garland to the wall. Going back and forth in a zig-zag pattern that gradually gets wider (in the shame of a pine tree), keep pinning the garland in place.
When you’ve finished your tree shape, you may be able to hang light ornaments on it. Place your presents underneath just like it’s a real tree.
