Right-wing groups to ‘pressure states and localities’ to purge voter rolls

A right-wing group has announced it will “pressure states and localities” through lawsuits, if necessary, “to clean up voter registration rolls pursuant to Section 8 of the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA).” The group claims that several states, including Florida, have voters on their registration rolls that are ineligible to vote.

Tea partiers fear United Nations intervention in 2012 election

The tea party has added another item to its list of reasons to fear the United Nations: Some in the movement say the U.N. is planning to intervene in the United States’ upcoming elections.

Many True the Vote goals already a reality in Florida

Earlier today, Mary Tuma of The Texas Independent reported on this weekend’s “True the Vote” conference hosted by the Houston-based tea party group King Street Patriots. The group announced its intention to “replicate its ‘voter fraud’-fighting efforts” in several other states, including Florida, but Sunshine State law already addresses many of the issues True the Vote says it wants to correct.

Florida tea partiers attend Texas ‘True the Vote’ summit to learn how to combat ‘voter fraud’

Ready or not America, here comes the King Street Patriots.

During its True the Vote summit this past weekend, the Houston, Texas tea party group unveiled plans to roll out a statewide database of voter registration records. Meanwhile, conservative activists said they intend to replicate the Patriots’  ”voter fraud”-fighting efforts in other areas of Texas and the U.S., including Florida, California, New Jersey, North Carolina and Washington, D.C.
