Presidential candidate Rick Santorum has unveiled his Florida leadership team, which includes some familiar names: the head of Personhood Florida and a former associate of Rep. Vern Buchanan, R-Sarasota.
Personhood Florida received a major endorsement this week from the Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins. The announcement is significant for the Florida affiliate of Personhood USA, which wants to place a “fetal personhood” amendment on the Sunshine State’s 2014 ballot.
Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel has blocked the state’s Personhood affiliate from introducing a bill that would define life from the moment of conception, on the grounds that it is “too vague” as written.
