Former George W. Bush adviser Karl Rove and talk show host Neal Boortz will speak in Jacksonville on Fri., Nov. 18, as part of “Stand Up for America: Debt, Taxes, and You Decide 2012.” According to a press release, the event will be “a lively and entertaining discussion of the important issues in the news, including the 2012 election, spending, debt, and taxes.”

Another ad from Crossroads GPS, a conservative group affiliated with Karl Rove, has hit the Florida airwaves — this one directed at Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson. The ad is part of a $20 million campaign launched by Crossroads, which includes attack ads in several states. The group spent $15 million on attack ads during the 2010 election cycle.
Only a day after reports surfaced that a Karl Rove-affiliated group has begun a $20 million ad campaign against President Obama, efforts to combat those ads are already underway.
