This weekend, Gov. Rick Scott and GOP Senate candidate Adam Hasner will speak at RedState Gathering 2011, an event for conservative politicians and organizations who are looking toward the 2012 elections.
At an intimate meet-and-greet held on Sarasota’s Main Street this morning, GOP Senate candidate and former Florida House Majority Leader Adam Hasner pitched himself as the “principled” conservative in the race, asking the small crowd to help him “fight Washington” and “save” the United States.
Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., has madeĀ no secret of his pro-business agenda since taking office in January. It comes as little surprise, then, that his 2010 campaign was backed largely by industries he now supports.
The tea party movement, a phenomenon that many deem responsible for installing Florida’s all-Republican cabinet and turning over control of the House of Representatives to the GOP, continues to demonstrate its influence throughout the state and the country.
