Final Florida polls all show dead heat for governor, Rubio winning the Senate race

Several major polling outlets released polls in the days leading up to election day, and they all show much of the same things — the gubernatorial race is too close to call, and Republican Marco Rubio will be Florida’s next U.S. senator.

Here they are, in chronological order:

• Public Policy Polling shows Democratic candidate for governor Alex Sink edging Rick Scott 48-47 percent. In the U.S. Senate race, Marco Rubio leads no-party candidate Charlie Crist 47-30 percent, with 21 percent going for Democrat Kendrick Meek.
• Quinnipiac University Polling Institute shows Sink edging Scott 44-43 percent. Rubio leads Crist 45-31 percent, with 18 percent for Meek.
• Sunshine State News shows Sink edging Scott 49-46 percent. Rubio leads Crist 48-30 percent, with 21 percent for Meek.
• Rasmussen Reports shows Scott edging Sink 48-45 percent. Rubio leads Crist 50-30 percent, with 16 percent for Meek.
• Mason-Dixon shows Sink edging Scott 46-43 percent. Rubio leads Crist 45-28 percent, with 21 percent for Meek.

All polls measured likely voters and were released Thursday through Monday.
